RESEARCH
What do we investigate?
Our dedication to research is a commitment rooted in our mission to improve the quality of women’s lives. We are proud to carry out research in the field of Vulvar Lichen Sclerosus (VSL) and share why we are committed to this area of women’s health.
Why do we investigate Vulvar Lichen Sclerosus?
Vulvar lichen sclerosus is a chronic dermatological condition that mainly affects women. It is characterized by inflammation and thinning of the skin in the vulvar area, and involves a variety of symptoms. Although there are more and more cases of this disease, it is still the great unknown.
Our LEV research is driven by several fundamental reasons:
Development of effective treatments
Advancing treatments to combat this disease is a primary goal when researching LEV. Our goal is to ensure that all affected women have access to these effective treatments.
Quality of life
Our goal is to improve the quality of life of women affected by LEV. We believe that research is the key to offering hope and concrete solutions to women suffering from this condition.
Improved diagnosis
Many women go years without a proper diagnosis due to lack of awareness of LEV. Through research, we seek to improve diagnosis so that they can receive treatment as soon as possible.
